Marchelle is a fourth grade teacher at Ida J. Russell School in Litchfield, IL. In addition, she serves as the Litchfield district's 4th and 5th grade Gifted Coordinator and co-directs the Litchfield Summer Gifted Academy. She holds a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from McKendree College and a master's degree in Elementary Education from Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville. A National Board certified teacher since 2001, she currently is completing requirements for Type 75 administrative certification through the University of Illinois at Springfield. Marchelle also serves as a mentor and provider of professional development for National Board candidates in Illinois Area 5.
