Mary is presently the Superintendent of CUSD 703 in Delavan, IL. She earned her bachelor's, master's, and specialist degrees from Eastern Illinois University and is currently writing her dissertation to complete her doctorate at Western Illinois University. Mary started her career in Neoga, IL teaching music and then moved to the regular classroom where she taught in consecutive years first, second, third, fourth, fifth, and sixth before becoming a Title I teacher and later Title I director. After Neoga, she was hired in Mattoon, IL as the Title I director and the Integrated Computer Learning Systems director. In her last year in Mattoon, she was in charge of 200 computers and the software, 20 Title I teachers in four separate schools, writing technology grants, and she was also the principal of a grade school with 500 students! She subsequently accepted the position of superintendent in Delavan where she is in her eighth year.
